Case Study Highlights

Cell Phone Forensics/Diving While Distracted – Titan Digital Forensics was provided a report from a Law Enforcement entity stating an individual had been watching TikTok at the time of a fatal crash. After reviewing the reports, it was determined specific databases of interest were not reviewed. Our review brought the quality of the examination and reported results under additional scrutiny, leading to a positive outcome for the victim’s family.

Case Review – Titan Digital Forensics conducted a review of interviews and notes used to obtain a state search warrant. During the review, we noticed that a critical fact presented in the search warrant was not identified in any interview or note, bringing doubt as to the validity of the statement(s). With the help of our findings, the case was plead from a felony to a low level misdemeanor, allowing the subject to avoid a long jail sentence.

Digital Forensic Review – Titan Digtal Forensics conducted a review of a laptop seized and previously reviewed by three separate law enforcement entities. We identified a critical mishandling of the original evidence, which lead to felony charges being dismissed as digital forensic best practices, training and findings were all questioned.
